Join us for an intensive 3 day course focused on mastering a variety of Greenland and technical kayak rolling techniques, essential bracing and sculling skills, and effective rescue strategies for a variety of conditions. This course is for paddlers who are interested in refining and developing their skills while training in the picturesque setting of the Copeland Islands. The course is set against a back-drop of serene waters giving you a perfect environment to learn, practice and grow as a paddler. Your coach will be Jordie Allen-Newman an advanced sea kayaker who has been continuously instructing, adventuring and guiding since 1996.
A Paddle Canada Rolling Certificate will be included for successful rollers (see Paddle Canada Page for suggested prerequisites).
Jordie will offer a presentation on some of his many long distance sea kayak adventures: paddling the Alaska Panhandle solo, circumnavigating Haida Gwaii, Paddling the Washington and Oregon coast, paddling the central coast from Alaska to Vancouver Island and his current project on circumnavigating Newfoundland.
NOTE: A minimum of 4 participants is needed to execute a clinic.
