Footprint Kayak & Hike Explorations’ owners and operators John Hermsen and Christy Krebber love to share their passion for the Sunshine Coast and its nearly endless outdoor activities. We are specialized in professionally guided day and multi-day Sea Kayak and Hike Tours and we also offer a variety of engaging Travel Deals with other local specialists.
Our office is located in Wildwood, Powell River on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, a beautiful rural region that offers outdoor pursuits of every type. We take great care in preparing for all of our tours. We only use high end equipment and as residents and outdoor enthusiasts we know the parks where we execute our tours through and through. Prior to a tour we discuss topics such as dietary preferences and previous experiences. We also provide a Suggested Gear List. This will leave you a clear image of what you may expect from us, but also what we expect from you.
Who explores with us?
Because of our personal and flexible approach, we are highly capable of customizing almost any of our tours to your personal interests, preferences and skill level. Since we started in 2006 we’ve had indelible outdoor experiences.

So far, ages varied from 4 years old up to 81 years (!) young. Our excursions are ideal for anyone in a normal physical condition looking for unique experiences matched to their interests and skill level.
